The Communications/Architectures Support Specialist will provide Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System (JCIDS) requirements analysis and communication architecture support to the Army Capability Manager for Intelligence Sensors (ACM IS).


Responsibilities
  • Contribute to data transmission and architecture portions of the emerging Next Generation Aerial ISR Doctrine, Organization, Training, Materiel, Leadership &a; Education, Personnel, Facilities and Policy (DOTMLPF-P) and ICD working groups.
  • Research and compile data on relevant technology areas (e.g., spherical antennas, graphene solar panels, etc.)
  • Network and develop contacts amongst various organizations to monitor changes to requirements and acquisition programs affecting ACM IS interests.
  • Function as the ACM IS Liaison to multiple sister activities within the Intelligence Capabilities and Integration Directorate.
  • Represent client interests in multiple telecoms, VTCs, S-VTCs, TEAMS meetings, and working groups (e.g., Sensor-CE, MI Lessons-Learned, PED OPT, etc.).
  • Prepared EXSUMS to back-brief TCM Aerial leadership
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required

    • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 5
    years of relevant experience
  • TS/SCI clearance required



Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities




  • Senior-level working experience in communications, architectures, and networks required to support intelligence collection, gathering, processing, display, and dissemination of collected intelligence data, including but not limited to GEOINT, IMINT, MASINT, SIGINT sensor data and information, related tactical common data link, and requisite communications capabilities.
  • Senior-level knowledge of network-centric interface and communications architecture-related capabilities, including but not limited to the following:
    aerial manned, UAS intelligence systems, sensors, payloads, their related ground components, AISR systems to DCGS-A, Operational Intelligence Ground Station (OGS) and Tactical Intelligence Ground Station (TGS) connectivity, tactical common datalinks, such as tactical common datalink TCDL, Global Information Grid (GIG), and Global Broadcast System (GBS). interface requirements, communications, datalink capabilities, operations, and training.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member.
  • Ability to travel as required.
  • Ability to handle controversial situations with tact and diplomacy.
