This position is located at Joint Interoperability Testing Command-JTE3.
JITC has highly skilled and motivated computer scientists, electrical engineers, operations research analysts, information technology specialists, and program/management analysts. In a highly collaborative environment where all stakeholders work together, you will engage in a wide variety of activities in direct support of the warfighter including design of experiment-based information technology acceptance and functional testing, interoperability certification, operational testing, and security certification and accreditation. These efforts will support the full information technology agile life cycle development; from concept development through system retirement. As a JITC team member, you will provide technical information technology testing/quality assurance expertise and leadership to our government and industry customers by designing agile life cycle development testing programs that add technical rigor while implementing best practices in order to accelerate fielding information technology capabilities to our warfighters. U.S. Citizenship or National
Review and analysis of IT system technical and operational requirements documentation to determine test objectives; report as to the testability of those requirements; and use in the development of test and evaluation plans.
Prepares estimates and uses available information management tools to track, manage and report budget execution and other project metrics indicating past, present and anticipated project schedule and quality performance.
Leads and works with cross-functional teams comprised of civilian, military and contractor personnel in the accomplishment of tasks and projects supporting the organizational mission.
Leads determination of the necessary test resources and environment for data collection, reduction, analysis, and management strategies to include adjudication of T&E; results.
Establishes priorities, milestones, and objectives of test project/program, and manages test project/program schedule and resources.
Prepares and briefs technical plans, reports, papers and presentations.
Provides expert T&E; advice and recommendations in support of acquisition decisions to Warfighters, as well as to joint and inter-agency acquisition communities.
Basic Requirement:
For the GS-854 and GS-855 Professional Engineering Series:
Degree: professional engineering. To be acceptable, the curriculum must: (1) be in a school of engineering with at least one curriculum accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) as a professional engineering curriculum; or (2) include differential and integral calculus and courses (more advanced than first-year physics and chemistry) in five of the following seven areas of engineering science or physics: (a) statics, dynamics; (b) strength of materials (stress-strain relationships); (c) fluid mechanics, hydraulics; (d) thermodynamics; (e) electrical fields and circuits; (f) nature and properties of materials (relating particle and aggregate structure to properties); and (g) any other comparable area of fundamental engineering science or physics, such as optics, heat transfer, soil mechanics, or electronics.
OR
Combination of education and experience -- college-level education, training, and/or technical experience that furnished (1) a thorough knowledge of the physical and mathematical sciences underlying professional engineering, and (2) a good understanding, both theoretical and practical, of the engineering sciences and techniques and their applications to one of the branches of engineering. The adequacy of such background must be demonstrated by one of the following:

For the GS-1550 Computer Science Series: Bachelor's degree in computer science or bachelor's degree with 30 semester hours in a combination of mathematics, statistics, and computer science. At least 15 of the 30 semester hours must have included any combination of statistics and mathematics that included differential and integral calculus. All academic degrees and course work must be from accredited or pre-accredited institution. In addition to meeting the basic requirement, qualified applicants must possess: One year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade within the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required.
Specialized experience at the GS-12 is defined as experience planning, coordinating, managing, executing, and reporting tests of Information Technology (IT) Systems applying sound project management and systems engineering principles.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
