Description:
RESPONSIBILITIES
Converts project specifications and statements of problems and procedures to detailed logical flow charts for coding into computer language. Develops and writes computer programs to store, locate, and retrieve specific documents, data, and information. May program web sites. The successful candidate will be part of a team that supports and sustains the DCGS-A All Source (DAS) and DCGS-A Single Source (DSS) product baselines at Ft Huachuca, AZ. The effort will be on the customer site, and requires an engineer with a variety of skills who can troubleshoot and solve problems in the DCGS-A environment. The engineer duties include the configuration management of DAS and DSS software produced by the vendor into a CM controlled repository at the customer site. The engineer will integrate the software into the DCGS-A environment by generating Linux VMs and perform tests to ensure that functionality works within this DCGS environment. The engineer will need to be able to make minor software fixes for the DSS and DAS baselines for sustainment. The engineer will need to apply hot fix patches to the DCGS-A environment and help get the DAS and DSS software through Certification and Accreditation activities.
REQUIREMENTS
Demonstrated software development experience in Java and C++
Experience in the administration of Linux VM servers and Oracle DB servers
Experience resolving software defects.
Experience in the Subversion and Maven configuration management tools
Automated test experience using Test Complete and Eggplant
Combine outstanding customer support capabilities with development and debugging expertise.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills.
Strong and effective customer service skills.
DESIRED
Understanding of the DCGS-A architecture and environment.
CISSP or other Security credentials
Understanding and ability to train Field Support Representatives
Experience operating in virtual environments such as VMWare
Understanding of Puppet configuration scripts.
