Jacobs is looking for talented individuals to join our team for DISA's Joint Interoperability Test Command \(JITC\) supporting the upcoming Test, Evaluation, and Certification \(TEC\) contract\. We are seeking current/former incumbents who are/or have supported the current JITC T&E MSS IDIQ contract \(at Fort Huachuca, AZ and Fort Meade, MD\), as well as any candidates who have skill sets that can support the full spectrum of IT communication systems and software test and evaluation\.

Responsible for the preparation, organization, and maintenance of documents including technical, projects, services, and contracting paperwork\. Responsible for writing, editing, reviewing and/or revising a variety of technical articles, plans, reports, white papers, brochures, and/or manuals for documentation for a wide range of uses and publication in support of JITC T&E mission\. Responsible for clerical duties related to technical documentation of procedures and practices; organizes, files, catalogues, stores, and monitors distribution of documents\. Ensures documents comply with organizational policies, formats, and goals\. Function within and ensure documents follow a systematic review process that ensures they are grammatically correct, incorporate appropriate use of terminology, are conformant to government, DISA, and JITC established product type formats, and are consistent with authoritative style guidelines \(i\.e\., Gregg?s ReferenceManual, Government Accountability Office Editorial Style Manual, etc\.\)\. Interact with all levels of customers and personnel for documentation writing, editing, reviewing, delivery, publication, and distribution success\. Ensure the final, signed documents are properly publicized and distributed\. Develops standard documentation methods to communicate concepts effectively and ensure methods are followed\. May be responsible for coordinating the display of graphics and the production of the document\.
Receives technical information, organizes the material, and then develops associated documentation with clarity and concise formatting using technical terminology, as appropriate\. May require knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field, such as information technology or information security\.
Demonstrates expertise in a variety of documentation administration concepts, practices, and procedures\. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals\. Performs a variety of complex tasks\. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected\. Leads and directs the work of others\. Typically reports to department management or executive\.
Qualifications
Requires a Master?s degree and at least 4 years of experience or a Bachelor?s degree and at least 8 years of experience\. One year of experience can be substituted by 15 semester hours completed towards a Master?s degree in a directly related curriculum\. The degree must be in a relevant technical curriculum and experience must be related to the job duties\.
This position will require a security clearance at the Secret level or higher\.
Essential Functions:
Physical Requirements
Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time\. Position may require filing, typing, and reading from a computer screen\. Must have sufficient mobility, included but not limited to: bending, reaching, turning and kneeling to complete daily duties in a timely and efficient manner\. There is a possibility that due to parking availability and location of work, walking moderate to long distances may be required\.
Work Environment
An inside and outside environment \(considerations: closed quarters, close together, lighting\)\. Needs to be able to work well with co\-workers and all levels of management\. No hazards on job or unusual environmental conditions\.
Equipment and Machines
Ability to operate office equipment such as a personal computer, printer, copy machine, telephone, fax machine and other equipment including desk supplies and other work related tools as required\.
Attendance
Core work hours will be between 9:00 a\.m\. ? 3:00 p\.m\. Monday \- Friday\. Regular attendance of scheduled hours is extremely important, but not critical, except for deadlines and meetings\. Punctuality and regular attendance are necessary to meet deadlines\. Must exhibit flexibility of work hours to adjust to surge situations based on critical mission requirements\.
Other Essential Functions
Must demonstrate professional behavior at all times when dealing with customers, management and co\-workers\. Must have clear, concise and accurate communications skills in English, both verbal and written\. Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk to employees or others\. Must maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a professional manner\. Independent personal transportation to office or work site is required\. Travel to and from customer?s locations and the test fields may be required to support projects\. This may involve airline travel\. In some cases, accommodations can possibly be made for POV, if necessary\. When operating any vehicle for work purposes, must wear seat belt and in addition, no cellular devices are to be used when vehicle is in motion\.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
