Application Developer, Defensive Cyberspace Operations

Summary: The Application Developer (DCO) will collaborate with the development team and other IT staff to set specifications for new applications, and have the ability to write high-quality code to complete applications on schedule   Essential Duties and Responsibilities:(Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position) Designs, develops, enhances, debugs, and implements software. Troubleshoots production problems related to software applications. Researches, tests, builds, and coordinates the conversion and/or integration of new products based on client requirements. Designs and develops new software products or major enhancements to existing software. Addresses problems of systems integration, compatibility, and multiple platforms. Consults with project teams and end users to identify application requirements. Performs feasibility analysis on potential future projects to management. Assists in the evaluation and recommendation of application software packages, application integration and testing tools. Resolves problems with software and responds to suggestions for improvements and enhancements. Acts as team leader on projects. Instructs, assigns, directs, and checks the work of other software developers on development team. Participates in development of software user manuals. Understand client requirements and how they translate in application features  Collaborate with a team of IT professionals to set specifications for new applications  Write high quality source code to program complete applications within deadlines  Perform unit and integration testing before launch  Conduct functional and non-functional testing    Non-Essential Duties: Other duties as assigned   Supervisory Responsibilities: None   Minimum Qualifications:(To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.) High School Diploma and 10 years' experience; OR Associate's Degree and 8 years' experience; OR Bachelor's Degree and 5 years' experience IT Level II, CSSP-IS, IAT II, Computing Environment Certification, ITIL Foundations certified (within 3 months), Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP) required iWATCH; AR 25-2 - IA Awareness; AT Level I; Level I OPSEC; CUI; ALMS Security; AHIMA HIPAA - Privacy and Security training required TS/SCI clearance required   Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Leadership and self-direction skills are highly desired. Ability to provide on-callsupport 24 hours a day, seven days a week.Ability to solve complex problems utilizing creative thinking skills. Strong communication skills. Ability to critically analyze and understand the systems and communicate system requirements to the customer and leadership. Ability to travel as required. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
